In our continued efforts to educate our communities on a national and regional level to the special service needs of people living with paralysis due to (SCI), we express our need to assist our communities in the capacity of economic development by assisting and providing employment opportunities.
Educate / Awareness
According to a study initiated by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, there are nearly 1 in 50 people living with paralysis &“ approximately 6 million people. That is the same number of people in the combined populations of Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. And the number is 33% higher then previous estimates showed. It means we all know someone a sister, brother, friend or colleague living with paralysis.
